We have Call waiting, caller ID, voice mail, and an answering machine. Can we use the HP officejet 7310 as a?
fax machine without unpluging the answering machine. Can we use the same phone line.

Head to Walmart buddy...They make little gadgets that have two spots to plug in phone-lines to one jack. Plug the answering machine into one, and the plug from the Officejet to the other side. Then you're on your way!
After that, if you're expecting a fax, you need to turn off your call waiting because that will mess up your transmission.

Fax machine and answering machine can prevent each other from working correctly.
