Sweetie aside from the fact this is absolute defamation and she asked you to take a polygraph test (this is illegal in most States), AND you received a great recommendation from your last manager? I would definitely speak to an Employment Lawyer. What she did was not at all fair and her employment practices are absolutely questionable. Go get her!

You sound young, used and abused by the old scam of 'free labour for a day or two'.
Those days are well and truly outlawed, legally. Civil rights have come into form and dear girl, yes you certainly do have a claim to file.
Everything you have written is all hear say so it won't be able to be used successfully in your case.
Your Separation Certificate which you should have received or should receive when she pays you must have a reason for firing you. If it states that you choose to leave on your own free will, do not sign. Do not get 'BULLIED' into signing anything. I am sick of hearing about this kind of thing and personally experience and put up with abusive bosses in the past as we didn't have many rights in those days.
Forget everything else and contact the Discrimination Board in your area. They are in the Yellow pages, Local Government in the front section. You can type Discrimination Board and your state in the 'Search' box on your computer.
Act immediately, they will be the best ones to tell you exactly what you need to take action and make a claim against her. If you already got paid and have your separation certificate don't worry. Ring on Monday and get justice for yourself and regain your self dignity and self esteem.
Go for it and all the best!

Count your blessings. That is what I would do.
Yes, you could go through all the legal channels, but since you don't know what prompted her behavior, you can't be sure that you would win your lawsuit. If you are working in retail, you probably can't afford to go through all the legal hoops. Plus, lawsuits take a long time, which would keep you emotionally wrapped up in what happened for the next year or two.
Instead, I would count your blessings that this crazy boss showed you her true colors so quickly and gave you a chance to get out of there. Yes, she made some accusations of your character, but YOU know she was totally out of line. You know that you are a valuable employee.
Move on. Be grateful that you got out of there when you did. Continue your job search. DO NOT put anything in future applications about having worked at this convenience store. OMIT these few days from your employment history. That information could create suspicion of you in future employers, and since you know the accusations were totally false, it's fine to just leave it out.
And one piece of advice when you are looking for jobs in the future: try speaking to a few of the employees at a place you are considering applying. Try to talk to people who are doing the same job you are applying to do. Tell them you are thinking about working there and ask them what they think about the management and if they are happy working there. This will help you avoid ending up in this position again.
Best wishes

ur boss has been unfair 2 u n foolish 2. try 2 find out who this person is n u must teach him a lesson even if it increases his animosity. Remember he is a coward so challenge him n look out for a new job where ur boss will c ur conduct rather thn paying attention 2 wat nasty people say.
I just had a thought-mayb ur boss is lying, mayb it was an excuse tht ur boss invented 2 oust u from the job? think more about it. only u can analyse the situation properly.ask her who tht person is n observe her reaction ie if u hav the time n inclination. had i been in ur place i would hav done tht.

If you feel that you have been fired unfairly, there are by-laws, get them from the place you were fired from. You can file a grievance. Then you can also go to your unemployment office and file a grievance as well and you can appeal through your unemployment and even go through arbitration.. Please make sure that you know the reason you were fired and if you feel that it had anything to do with discrimination then see a lawyer. He gets paid if you get paid.

Dude, don't even worry about it, look for a different job. I would tell that gal the only reason she wouldn't be able to sleep is because you like to douse her in gas, smoke a cigarette and put it out on her.
