I thought the movie was....boring. Oh sure, some of the action scenes where okay, but it really seemed like the same ole same ole. It was the scenes in between the action that had many of the people in the theater(including myself) yawning. The gentlemen who sat next to me actually groaned after the movie was (finally) over and said, "Thank God it's over". The none action scenes were so tedious. It was like the editor dosed off while watching this film and left many scenes in that what have served the film better on the cutting room floor.
The movie does send a good message about good vs. evil, and that we all have the ability to choose the right thing. But that could have been accomplished in an hour and forty five minutes rather than the grueling two hours and 20 minutes you have to endure.
In short, don't get a speeding ticket to see this one. Save your $9 and wait to see it in a couple weeks during matinee times. Oh, and bring some knitting, it will be useful during the low times of the film, which are many.

Spiderman webs around the city a while, then fights a bad guy, gets beat up, has to decide not to be defeated, fights back harder, wins the fight, has mixed feelings about that, and still doesn't understand his relationship with Maryjane.

I haven't seen it either, but that's my guess.
