We all know that ABC News is heavily tilted to the left but now they've set a new low in journalism. They released only two clients' names, both Republicans and both connected to the Administration, though at fairly low levels. ABC confirmed that a lot of "fairly important people" used the services but then decided to not release any more names claiming that it wasn't newsworthy. What a CROCK! Since when is it not newsworthy when a lot of "fairly important people" in Washington, DC are using the services of a Madam? Palfrey stated two months ago that a lot of "Imprtant People" in the democratic Party were on her list, I believe she said 6 high-ranking Democrats, and now ABC decides that it isn't newsworthy? I just think it's inconvenient to the Democrats and ABC will protect the leftists at all costs. Someone has to get these names released.

As a conservative, I find myself disagreeing with you--for the most part. I applaud ABC's decision not to release the names on the list. What purpose would it serve? I don't condone prostitution, but in the same breath, I am not interested in the personal sex lives of these 'officials'. Do I think there may be names of high ranking dems (those who out-rank any rep) on the list? Probably. And thus the decision not to release any republicans names.....if they did so, they'd need to release a democrats name as to appear unbiased--so they gaged the story. I don't care. As long as it didn't involve my tax dollars paying those prostitutes or other criminal enterprises the people contained on the list will have to face the music when their families find out. Americans have enough to worry about. Releasing the names will only add amunition to the left v right bashing--and that won't help anyone.

I don't just lean left, I am practically falling over. Personally, I dont care who goes to a Madam, and who doesn't. It ranks very very low on my need to know list. If ABC chooses to make a story out of it, it's really no skin off my nose however. Personally, I think that if they are gonna do it, why not just release the entire thing, and be done with it. Fear not, Left..they will all come out. Saying they are going to stop, I think, is more their way of raising anticipation in the minds of those who, for some inexplicable reason, actually CARE about the sex lives of others.
As for the hideous and awful American Leftist media..It's not about politics. This is America! It's about $$$$. The media puts out what they think is gonna draw more viewers/listeners/readers, because that equates to more cash. If they think it's gonna bring in more bucks, they are going to report it. It really is as simple as that. Left/Right has nothing to do with it. It's all about the bank account.

We really don't know what's behind the ABC decision, it could have something to do with the fact that the madame's case has yet to be prosecuted. It could also have something to do with libel law, reporter - source privilege, or some other legitimate consideration.

Your additional details are inaccurate and dishonest. You say that ABC

"released only two clients' names, both Republicans and both connected to the Administration, though at fairly low levels"

The two are very prominent Republicans -
Harlan Ullman, a renowned military analyst and Washington Times columnist who is noted for his shock and awe tactic which was used prior to the ground invasion of Iraq and

Former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Randall Tobias - a top state department official who oversaw most U.S. foreign assistance, and was the administration's former AIDS czar. While at that post, he promoted sexual abstinence and fidelity as a means to stop the spread of AIDS.

I think this madam has more trash on everyone. She will eventually get some Republicans in the mix, but there will be a lot of Dimocrats caught up in this.

Are you truly surprised? Although all media are corporate, most of them are far from conservative (which is the true middle of the road). If there were many Republicans on that list, you know that they would have released all the names.

It seems like only republicans are the ones who care about the DC Madam case.

I don't believe ABC is partyist. Come on this Dem congress is the most ethical and moral one ever. Don't you remember Piglosi and Dirty Harry Reid saying that before the elections.
