Hello There!

I have had this problem two times in my life, and also some friends of mine have had this problem too! What I did, and what I told them to do, really gets rid of the ants.

Get Dow Bathroom Cleaner/Scrubby Bubbles in the can. Spray the Scrubby Bubbles in a foam along the areas where the ants are coming into your house. In my case it was the kitchen door, and I simply sprayed a big, wide line of the Scrubby Bubbles and you just leave it there! If you have to use it near glass, take care not to get the Scrubby Bubbles on the glass.

Where ever you think the ants are getting in. . Spray the Scrubby Bubbles.

After that, I only sprayed the door area after a very heavy rain, when I could see that people coming in and out had left the area wet. And I never, EVER had ants again!

My daughter lived in San Francisco with a new born baby, and found ants in her kitchen. I told her this trick, and she never had them again! So, think about where they could be getting in, and put up this line of defense. After a while, that path to your house isn't in their 'programming' any longer. THIS WORKS! IT IS CHEAP! THERE ARE NO DEAD ANTS TO DEAL WITH! (Unless you spray it directly on them and drown them. . .)

Give it try!

I once found a conga line of ants going across the rug to a big crumb. I was in a hurry, so I picked up the crumb and an hour later they had all gone home! Such polite little critters.

Some will always come out exploring, but when they find something to eat they are relentless. Find the food they found by following them, clean it up, and they will go. Also you can usually find how they got in the house in the first place and fill it up with caulk, plaster, shoot even Elmer's glue might work.

They are simple creatures; take away the food, they'll leave.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE TOXIC chemicals to banish ants from your home. Natural ant repellents work as effectively. First, determine where ants are entering your home and seal up the holes and cracks in those areas. To kill ants in your home, fill a spray bottle with soapy water and spray it directly on them.

To keep ants from returning, apply one of these two treatments to problem areas (like the corners of kitchen counter tops): Mix 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and a few drops of water to form a paste; the cinnamon kills ants on contact. Or use Victor Poison-Free Ant & Roach Killer ($6.75; 17.5 ounces; 800-289-6656; www.victorpest.com). The spray comes in mint and cedar, both of which kill and repel ants."

Did you already try ant traps? They're small canisters that you punch holes in - the ants go in for whatever is inside, and they die. (Ususally used inside the house)
Also, for those ants that get in cupboards and you see mainly in the kitchen, try sprinkling black pepper in their path - it works to repel them.
I have heard that Equal (the sugar taste-alike) works too, but I'm not sure.
