using images from other websites?

If I use images from another website do I need their direct permission or is it enough for me to state where the images came from. As I am doing a computer course and I need some images for the course work.

This is probably a good case of "fair use".
Always give gredit (provide the source URL) for all your images.

As long as you don't plan to publish an article or book or another web page with those images you should be OK.
