A TFT monitor is an LCD monitor.

Liquid Crystal is a material that can change the polarization of light.

A Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) uses liquid crystal to produce an image.

A Thin Film Transistor is a type of transistor that can be placed on glass and can be mostly transparent.

This make TFT circuits very useful for the control liquid crystal displays.

So a TFT panel is a LCD that uses TFT to control it.

All large LCDs are TFT because the other control options are not practical.
