Shocking moments in history have had a strong impact on what is to come . Heck, after the Pearl Harbor successful attack, even the Japanese commander said " I fear that we have only awoken a sleeping giant " . Words spoken while his underlings were joyful about the successful attack .
The events of 9-11-2001 woke up our nation as well .
Now, after the mid-terms , Democrats seem to be dancing with glee, but I wonder.. . . . .I wonder if they realize just how many Conservatives have been awoken . And how many are bound and determined to never let this happen again . And with every crazy liberal notion that we face, it only serves to strengthen our resolve and our numbers . I positively think the Republicans will win by a landslide in 2008 and most will never see it coming, because the media will deny it until the final days .
What do you think ?

"If" you are correct? The blame will rest squarely on the fact that the Liberals are so bent on taking the White House? They're not taking the time to read the speed bumps in the road. If this is to be true. (I Pray) They're wheels need to start falling off, soon. I don't want Our Troops out of The Middle East. If they do? We're doomed!

Earnest, I often ask myself, can the majority of Americans really have liberal views, such as give in to our enemies, or have discussions with terrorist , (Syria, Iran). Do the majority of Americans really want to give the Government more of their pay check (Higher taxes). Are Americans really ready for a socialist Country. It is hard to see through the propaganda that the media is putting out there, But I think your question is right on, and the conservatives and even some moderate Democrats will wake up and stop the madness engulfing our nation, and put the media and press back in their rightful place, which is to factually report news and events, Not to manipulate information to advance their own agenda......

You nailed that one!

Many conservatives stayed home in 06 not believing how the idiocy had spread. Some got comfortable and confidant. That will not be the case in 08! They have been reminded that it is a lifelong fight for future generations.

I have been saying, the liberals are nearing the top of the cliff - it will be fun. I do dread all the whining and accusations to come after the election, but that has become the Democrats' way. I do not think it will go on as long this time - Some libs have to be tired of the misery at this point, a few may even wake up themselves!

So true.... I just asked the question yesterday... "What will the libs excuses be when a Republican takes office again in 2008?" I don't think they realize they got the House and Senate because conservatives were sending a clear message to the Republican Party. Do they see the candidates for President on the Republican Side and their platforms.... all claiming to be more conservative than the next guy. EVEN on the Dems side you have Hillary and Obama claiming to be Conservative... believe me, they know where the votes are coming from....

The Democrats will be voted out in 2008, since they govern by polls and do not listen to the American public. What the Dems do not realize is that they are pushing more independants, first time voters and even moderate Democrats to the side of the the Republicans, which looks like they are taking a more moderate approach to the 2008 election as opposed to the exterme leftist position adopted by Democrats. Look for a moderate President like Rudy in 2008 with a slightly more conservative like McCain or Tommy Thompson to balance out the ticket.

Brother Earnest,
I hate to say this, but if The Republican Party doesn't rid itself of that bunch of R.I.N.O.'s running for President, they'll loose ! I for one will not vote for a one of them, I won't vote for The Communist candidate either, so I'll probably just sit this election out. Until, and unless a Christian Conservative in nominated. What they've got now may as well be Communists !
Be Blessed in Christ Jesus !

The same Japanese commander, Admiral Yamamoto, also said, "There should be no last word in diplomacy." No one is gleeful over the unnecessary spilling of blood from either side, 75% which are non-combatants. And you want to celebrate that as a legacy for Bush/Cheney? Is that what you would want as a continued policy for this nation, the killing of innocent men, women, and children? We don't rule the world. Bush isn't a King. The American public recognizes that this man does not act according to 71% of the will of his own people. Any candidate that stands on the platform of war, will go down in flames.

I hope you are right! I am very pessimistic. I think the Democrats are disastrous for our national security, and I hope they show their hand before the elections. But they seem very disciplined at concealing themselves.

If America votes for a Democrat president and congress, we will be in for trouble. But if we do, we'll deserve the horrors we'll get.

Again, I appreciate your hopeful words.

High Plains Drifter is a great example of the Liberal mentality that Americans have had enough of. "...the coming wave of criminal investigations..."

We have been awakened to the fact that the Libs can't "do" so they "blame and investigate". There is no foward motion with this 'progressive party'. We know if a Dem is elected (God forbid) the country will only stagnate by being bogged down in their endless witch hunts.

i think you're 100% correct and i pray that we both are.

i really fear what would happen if a demo took the oval office. mostly, because not a one of them seems to have even an inkling of what it is we're up against in 'this war on terror.'

this war is inherently based in battling those who would defeat our very culture, if given the chance. it is by nature an irrational war & cannot be focused against any country in particular, but instead strives to put down a theology of pure and determined hatred toward us and everything our nation stands for.

when else in history have we've been up against such a fervor of resolve against our very being? what greater danger could we ever possibly face?

i am amazed at all those who do not get it. are they simply too self-involved, too altruistic and naive? or, our they literally and purposefully rolling the dice on all our lives in order to discredit the republican party?

what's more, if that is truly the case, conservatives do need to be ever mindful of the fact that at this time in our history, we are being faced with not only battling our enemies abroad, but truly also, those here at home who are so willing to use the denial of what is at stake, to advance their personal agendas thereby, giving our enemies abroad an open ticket to continue their fight against us.

all those who fully realize the perils that face us, regardless of party alignment, need to steadfastly work together toward making sure our whitehouse remains in responsive hands.

terrorism and the fight against the hatred that has been focused upon us is truly the most important problem facing our nation, our economy, our very sovernty.

we simply cannot allow our enemies to regroup, rebuild and refocus their attentions upon our soil again.

even, those who incessantly complain that our economy is in a shambles and have made that their battle cry in this pre-election season, should certainly be able to understand that even a healthy economy could not withstand the havoc these outside forces would have thrust upon us.

as a nation, we openly encourage our differences however, this is one area where those differences could literally cause the nation as we know it to implode. we all need to wake up and stand up together against the terrorists.

we have found ourselves facing a political season wherein the games, rhetoric and propaganda need to be seriously set aside. instead of promoting separation within the country, we desperately need to cast our party lines aside in order to tend to the welfare of the country's continued & very existence.
