Was it too harsh? Are you serious?? Of course it wasn't too harsh! This was the second time in just a few months that she was caught driving drunk only this last time she was driving drunk (and speeding) with her headlights off at night on a suspeneded license. She deserves a good 90 days or even a year to teach her dumb *** a lesson. The average citizen would have been jailed for 30 days on the first offense. Paris Hilton is a spoiled simpering little scuzz who thinks that because of who she is she's above the law. Maybe this will bring her down a peg or two.

No. A person who isn't a celebrity would probably get more time! She's spoiled and maybe this will make her grow up and face reality and become a better person! The Richard Gere incident is an unfortunate cultural misunderstanding!

No, any other American would have had their fanny tossed in jail the first time and not given probation. Then she had the nerve to show up late..she has no respect for anyone, and she definitely needs to spend the entire 45 days in county lockup. Perhaps if she gets a dose of reality now, she'll learn and won't end up in worse trouble later in life.

no.
if it was an ordinary person they'd get more time in jail.
she was given a jail sentence because she was driving recklessly (DRUNK) without a license.
it's an outrage that she just got 45 days,if it was an ordinary person they'd get more like months not days.
it should serve as a wake-up call to her that just because she is rich&famous dosen't mean she can disobay the law.
more and more celebs are getting a way to leaniant sentence when they've disobayed the law, look at brandy she was driving to fast and killed a person, and they've done nothing.why is it that celebs can get away with paying a fine and it gets swept under the carpet?
why should they be any different from us when it comes to the law?

She got exactly what she deserved. If she wasn't a celebrity it would have been the same. Who is she kidding saying she didn't know she couldn't drive on a suspended licence. Nobody is that stupid. Now she will play the sympathy card by saying she was treated hard cause she's a so called celeb. She's just a spoilt little rich girl who is angry cause she didn't get her own way.

What did she do? How long is the sentence? Just because she is a celebritity it doesn't make you above the law (unless your name is Pete Docherty). If she's got lots of money then a fine although hits normal people hard would be a drop in the ocean for her, so perhaps it's the best thing, but I don't know what she actually did.

Nope! It's not too harsh! She a person after all! And besides its not her first offense on wreckless driving!
Probably its the second time! But what can we say, maybe she's drunk coz she's been in a party!
Or she is just dumb enough to follow road signs or road rules and regulations!

She is ruined by her wealth she deep down is probably ok but like many people with to much money she seems to need a reality check. I am not bothered about celebs as I live in the real world looking after my kids is what matters to me but I see that many stars seem a bit cuckoo

i'm sure paris' publicist likes this just as much as paris....i'm sure her jail is a heaven compared to other peoples homes...she probably has all her phones and tvs and such to keep her busy....celebrities are treated like royal people in this country when they really make lousy movies nobody really wants to see but life gets boring sometimes and seeing a movie (not the actor) fulfills our boredom sometimes meanwhile the actor or actress gets overpaid for their work
