yes its possible. a lot of people start careers at the same or older ages than you. for maybe they got laid off (cutbacks, not fired) and needed more instructions. others are just unhappy with their current positions and they find community college in order to let them convert to their work place.

Definately... the old days had the adage that you picked a career and stayed with that company until retirement. Those days are long gone. People now constantly change jobs by choice or downsizing. Whatever you do in life, give it your all. Your age is only a hinderance if you let it be one.

sure - depending on what you want to change to, it may not be worth the investment. For example if you wanted to become an MD, your looking at 8-10 years or so of education. By the time your done in your mid-50s you will have huge school loans to repay and not a lot of working years left to do it.

when you was 19 you'd have answered hell no,, cuz 43 was really old

when you was 28 you'd have said maybe,, cuz 43 is old but not really old

when you are 58 and look back,, 43 will sound like a kid and you'd answer hell yes,, (in a heartbeat)

age has nothing to do with you starting anything new,,,

Anything is possible you have to decide on what you want to do and go for it. There are plenty of courses out there that you could use to retrain and change direction. I'd say go for it as you will probably regret it if you don't.
