I try to figure it out myself. I'm not good at following directions but it takes away the challenge to ask.

I stop and ask.
Sometimes I don't listen to those directions well enough though and have to figure it out.

I spend half my life lost !
When I moved to Houston I would get off of the highway and just try to find my way around. That's how I find the coolest places.
If I need to be somewhere at a certain time then I will ask for help.

If it's local, I figure it out 'cause eventually I'll see something I know. Elsewhere, I ask for directions. I'm a guy, not a dummy!

I spend the vast majority of my workday driving and tend to hit mapquest before I leave the shop. Yes, it's sometimes wrong, but I'm generally only looking for nearby cross-streets anyway.

ask directions definately. My Mother-in-law is funny though. If she is lost she just follows the car in front of her. Weird.

I do both, depending on how much of a hurry I'm in.
If I'm on vacation and have no place really to be, I'll just see where the road takes me.
