Can u please explain how to do this:

A parabola has x-axis intercepts 4 and 10. State the x-coordinate of the vertex.

x=7

The x-coordinate of the vertex of a parabola is always half-way between its x-intercepts. This is because of the symmetry.

x=(4+10)/2
=7
