Yes, but only to the extent of refresh rate (the speed in which the screen can change). Other than that you are better off using the money that you would have used on the video card and use it towards upgrading your motherboard, CPU, and RAM.

RAM is only a component that is used to run applications and to store temporary memory. RAM does not speed your system up; however not having enough RAM to run all of your programs will slow your system down.

The CPU and your motherboard's corresponding bus speed are the ultimate factors of the computers true speed.

it would % up pix huge purposes fairly plenty. the 8--- sequence is distinctly old now, although. i'd also say once you're turning out to be something like you would pick to improve your processor, too (the processor is the bottleneck ninety% of the time). you would even ought to improve your PSU, and in case you do not have countless ram, that too. And in case your motherboard would not help PCI-e, then that receives upgraded too.. ... purely construct a sparkling computing gadget, haha.

No. A graphics card will not speed up your computer. RAM and a new processor on the otherhand, will.

Depends on what you are doing with it. Excel, word, CAD? Get more ram. Games? Yah, though, don't expect to play Supreme Commander with it.

Some specs would help. If it's an old 286, or XT... Heh.
