you will need to have windows 98 second addition for usb, first addition does not support usb, you can also get the updates drivers for your mother board form the motherboard manufactures support website. also download the latest bios updates,
if you have not got the second addition you will need to go to www.msn.com or microsoft.com search for :-- windows 98 updates from the search bar on msn's web page,
then install the driver with you flash drive,after you have updated
(1) bios,
(2) moterboard drivers,
(3) windows updates
(4) flash drive driver

When you insert the flash drive it requires the drivers from that manufacture he will give you a CD or you have down load from that website or it may not be compatible with the 98 .

Install the software from the product CD.

install the program from cd provided along with the flash drive. take care not to insert your drive while installing program.
