That kind of PC BS think to me just scary and dangerous, but want if cures kept coming up,then I think disabled people would be right there in a heartbeat, even those 'advocates' for the disabled would deep down like to cure their children A.S.A.P

What makes you think the disabled don't want to be cured? Do you realize that some of the treatments for diseases have side effects more painful than the disease itself? Some diseases can't be cured. I have a hard time believing that anyone with a legitimate disability would turn down a cure if offerred it.

There isn't really a cure for epilepsy, u can get long term treatment like medication and surgery, but that's about it. So I just have to live with it. Some grow out of it during adolescence, but u learn to live with it.

how many disabled people do u know that prefer to stay the way they r? and just because there is a cure for something doesnt mean the cure is safe or meant for all people.for instance, i have migraines and have seen lots of info on new migraine meds, but they all have a list of side-effects that seem worse than the migraine itself. of course i would like to b rid of them, but not if it means risking all the side effects like heart trouble, liver problems, blood pressure, etc.
