You don't absolutely HAVE to wear a tampon. It is ideal though. You can wear a pad, but with all the moving around from dancing there is a chance that your pad could leak.

You can use either. If you haven't used tampons before, give it a try. Pads are a nuisance and would mabe prevent you from wearing certain clothes for your dancing....like tight pants for example.

If you use a pad, you'll sweat and maybe cause bumps from the friction. You will be real itchy. Trust me, it's happened to me! Also, you run the risk of your pad moving around and causing a mess. I strongly recommend a tampon.

You use what ever is most comforable for you. If you think most tampons are uncomfortable (like me) then use pads or try Playtex Sport tampons, you wont feel them.

With just dancing, you should be fine with simply a pad. You don't have to weaer a tampon if you are uncomfortable with it. Use whatever you are comfortable with.
