I wouldn't take a cure if somebody were to offer me a million dollars. I can:
1. Understand others with disabilities better
2. Teach tolerance
3. Show others being "different" isn't bad
4. Provide a unique perspective on the world.

And finally, I believe taking away my autism would be taking part of myself away!

Autism is not all bad. Albert Einstein was autistic ! It's also called the nerd disease. With Asperger's and high-functioning autistics, that's where some pretty smart kids come from. Supposedly , there was a "cluster" of sorts in Silicon Valley,CA. .........Is it so bad to be considered a genius ? What molokank said is true. They are very honest, exact people. They are good people. They aren't conniving, or manipulative, or liars. This is just the far end of the spectrum. The majority of autistics, are at the other side of it. Life is way more difficult. Be happy that you are high-functioning.....life could be worse !

You just typed a question, with nos spelling mistakes that I can see,. This is one thing already you should be proud that you can do. There are a lot of people out there who cannot do that. Anyone who lives with any type of disability has the opportunity and the right to be proud of any achievement. They are normal people - they just have different ways of doing things. Be proud of what you can do - not sorry for yourself for what you cannot do. Think positive.

I worked whit autistic people and I think that are the best human beans!
They are happy whits their disability because they don’t think like we do …their system of thinking is totally different than ours…. I believe that if you want to understand an autistic you have to clear your mind first of all the things that society teach you… I know that they are in fact normal but different.

May you find peace/happiness/ and hope with your condition, we all have some sort of disability. I live with a quadriplegic and am inspired by how much he accomplishes, you will always accomplish more then others so long as you live and progress, if you can find comfort in your own mind then you will never be without it.

Try praying.

This scripture reminds me of autism + prayer.

1 Corinthians 3:16 Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy that person; for God's temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

I don't mean this to sound rude (I have twin autistic cousins), but you can either be proud of who you are, or sit around feeling sorry for yourself. That is your choice.
