this is the mail I received of April 23,2007.......is your name on my list?....Is my name on your list? I am a winer too !! I have to donate as well to the same organization [AHIP in Nigeria] !!!..When checked UN website it’s not accredited organization as they say....and what a coincident...isn't it the same organization?????
So I think it’s only a fraud. Sorry .

Don’t give them any kind of personal info [if you didn't so far]…and report it to mail-spoof@cc.yahoo-inc.com

By the way, if the mail relates to yahoo the company..their mail should end with (...yahoo-inc.com)..everybody else their mail end with (...yahoo.com)
[i knew this after this incident]

In Accordance with the Yahoo! 2007 Mail Pack Terms of Service (TOS) Financial Obligations (Section 3), Asian and African winners will now be required by Yahoo! to make a 5% (five percent) United Nations (UN) charitable donation from their prize wins, before the shipment and delivery of the Yahoo! prize to winner's address. Prize delivery can only be guaranteed after you have made a donation to an assigned UN Accredited Charity Organization.

Procedures were changed due to difficulties experienced (during past years) with winners in these locations (Asia & Africa) fulfilling their financial obligations to the designated UN Accredited Charity Organizations after prizes were delivered. Yahoo! Inc. is sorry for any inconvenience imposed on affected winners of this year's anniversary programme.
