without protein and carbs you're only messing up your metabolic rate. sudden change in diet can cause you to gain weight.

you also need to keep up your non-sugar energy foods to lose weight while exercising. protein from animal products is also important to ensure you dont degrade muscle tissue while you work out.

best to go see a nutritionist if you plan to diet while exercising, or ask a fitness instructor. they'll give you a custom-planned diet to suit the type of exercise your doing and the amount of weight you want to lose.

Either:
A. You aren't eating enough to support your body for your workouts and you're body is putting you into starvation mode, therefore slowing down your metabolism and making your body store everything you eat.
B. You are building muscle faster than you are losing fat.
OR
C. The fructose in the fruit you are eating (if you eat a lot) is causing fluctuations in your blood sugar and screwing up your metabolism.
Or it could be a combination of all three with other factors coming into play. I have had the SAME problem, and was told by a personal trainer that I needed to concentrate on being HEALTHY rather than losing weight and eventually I'd start losing weight! Good luck!

You need to get aALL the right nutrients, so don't just eat fruit and vegetables, that probably won't help you and you need to have MEALS, not snacks.

Look up healthy, low fat meals you can make for lunch and dinner. Things like fish and salad are good.

Drink at least 2 litres of water each day.

Don't eat anything after 7pm.

Consult a personal trainer on the best way to lose weight as you may find you've been doing all the wrong things.

You've only just started working out.

That has happened to me too, I'd lose a pound one month, then two another, then I'd gain a pound, then I'd lose three.

Make sure you change up your routine and trick your body every now and then.
