what are some of the wars/terrorism that has happened due to religion issues? or has religion differences involved? i know bits and pieces of it but need to know a bit more to add as strong examples for my essay on importance of religion

i know there's a hell lot of conflicts but maybe 3 or 4 most prominent ones that'll be good to pull in as examples.. those that strictly have religion involved..

You should count the crusades, conflicts between Catholic and Muslim and even the Orthodox , and the purger of heretics, heresy and Pagans that roam about Europe, killing innocent people in the Medieval time. Make sure you include the religious conflicts in India( after the invasion of Islamic army) and America( in the Age of discovery). There are plenty more, but those examples should be enough.
