Recently they erected a nude, anatomically correct chocolate statue of jesus( (called my sweet lord) in new york under the guise of art. I want to carve the same kind of thing out of a block of processed ham in the likeness of mohamed. Think it'll fly?

Realistically, Jesus would've been nude for the Crucifiction, so that (despite much whining) is not that big of a problem. And Christians just carp on for a couple of moments when they're offended, then move on.
Offend the Prophet Mohammid however, as showing him is a grave sin (and nude even more so), and you may end up getting Van Goghed...that is stabbed to death in the streets.

How about in camel dung? The virgin Mary was done in elephant dung, it'd be a nice complementary piece.
