If he wanted to, and if he ran as an independent, I think he could pose a serious challenge. However, he should have done so a long time ago. By now, he may be politically damaged by having been an early spokesman in favor of invading Iraq.

Colin Powell is a military man very much respected even when he became a civil servant. He could be good candidate for the Presidency.

Because he ruined his credibility going to bat for Bush over WMD in Iraq. He convinced a lot of people who hadn't been convinced before that. Then it turned out to be a lie.

Too bad. I would have voted for him before that, and so would a lot of people I know. No one's interested after the big lie though.

By having been Dumbya's lap dog, he lost all credibility, especially since he behaved through it all like a complete wuss. Belafdonte was right about him and Dumbya's lap dancer, Condi.
