Yes, I've known about it for over a year--where've you been? And I hate to break it to you but the entire chicken producing industry operates on the same basic lack of principles. And the beef industry and the pork industry...Go to the PETA website if you don't believe me.

Are you sure it's KFC that tortures the chickens or the people they buy the chickens from who prep them for KFC? I only say this because I used to be a truck driver and we got fresh killed and prepared chickens loaded in our truck (did this MANY times) for El Pollo Loco. I saw a truck full off cages unload the chickens on one side, they went in by conveyer belt where they were killed (not sure how, never wanted to SEE that), cleaned and prepped, put into bins and loaded into our truck and then they shot shaved ice on top to keep them nice and cool until we deliver them to the wherehouse for El Pollo Loco the next day in California. We came all the way from Louisianna in a 36 hour period. But those chickens are truly stupid, I honestly think they have no brain. I don't want to stick up for the chicken killers, but I do like me some chicken! Some of the chickens would escape, but they would just sit there with a huge truck tire slowly coming at them and they would not move! we had to get out of the truck and try to "shoe" the chicken off, but he didn't get it and just stood there, probably blinded by the sun. We had to pick the chicken up and he didn't wiggle like a normal chicken and we put him by the fence where he just stood, looking around. Then we put him on the OTHER side of the fence. No doubt a wild animal ate him that night. Talk about a horrible death! To be ripped apart by a cougar or coyote or something? Then eaten possibly while you are still alive? Oh my!
I don't really eat at KFC anyway, to much fat. I prefer to prepare chicken at home.

OMG! Where to begin. Typical PETA propaganda. I agree that what was portrayed on PARTS of the video were horrible and uncalled for. However, there are SOOO MANY problems with what Pamela Andeerson said, I don't know where to start. Believe what you want, but I have been on MANY poultry farms and in several processing plants. Farmers & processors in generlaawould NEVER do some of the things shown to birds because it would decrease their profits, plus it is just wrong. Get actual facts, not just some star's explanantion of what is going on (or even my word for that matter). Think about it. There is always an exception, but poultry farmers on the whole treat their animals well; it would be costly not to.

Yeah, yeah, Pamela Anderson has been whining about this forever. And she loves meat, just check out the video with her and Tommy Lee.
Now back to my point. I've eaten at KFC for years. I've never found a broken bone in a single piece of chicken. I have friends who work at KFC they have never seen the kind of stuff that Peta claims is going on.
I've loaded chickens on the trucks at chicken barns. You get money deducted from your pay if you accidentally break ones leg.
Yeah it would be easy for Peta to get someone hired on in a plant or factory to create a bad situation then film it for the publicity. That's probably what happens more times than not.
Do you drive a car? What about all those poor innocent bugs you kill with your windshield? They just go to waste. Maybe we should all stop driving to.

This has been going on for some time now. PETA (people for the ethical treatment of animals) have been fighting them over the inhumane way chickens r slaughtered. Unless people band together and refuse to buy KFC chicken, the practice will continue. I used to purchase KFC, but after seeing the graphic photos from PETA, I couldn`t eat another piece of their chicken no matter how good it was. More people should be concerned of this barbaric practice.

Wow.
Somebody's riding the late train.
You obviously need to watch the news more.
Because they made a big deal for weeks about this a while back.
Some guy changed his name to kentuckyfriedcruelty.com
and they now have many celebrities and icons behind their cause, such as Pamela Anderson.

To the people above me:
And as for what you can do,
you can boycott KFC or send a letter or make a phone call demanding the fair treatment of the animals.
Just because they are going to die anyways, doesn't mean they have to die painfully.

Put it in perspective, you're going to die anyways.
Why don't we just kill you now, by lets say...
cutting off a few of your limbs then sticking you in a vat of hot oil while you're still alive.
Sound appealing to you?

It's delicious murder. I only eat the mashed potatoes and gravy, on occasion I'll have a crispy chicken strip and some popcorn chicken. It is good and cheap. It really hits the spot. Like I said before, it's delicious murder. You can't really do anything once they're dead besides eat them. It'd be like wasting food, and there's all the starving kids in Africa........blah blah blah.

if you think the chicken videos are appalling, wait till you see the beef and esp. pork video at the peta site. bear in mind that pigs are empathic creatures, more intelligent than our own pet canines, who we wouldn't dream of raising and slaughtering in cruelty and then eating!
