I have a 75 gal. I have done my tank changes and my levels for everything are great. It has been up and running a few months. It is a community tank and now all my fish are breathing heavy and slow. Not at the top of the tank. and they are now starting to die. I see no signs of gill parasites. I may be missing them though, but i dont think so. Any help would be awsome.

I have to agree with the first three people on these areas as part of solutions to the problems you may be having in general, but also I'm suprised that no one made mention about sticking certain types of water plants inside with the fish in the tank,as the plants tend to absorb a lot of the pollutents from within the water as well, also in return giving natural oxygen levels to the tank to help the fish breathe easier as well as making it feel like a natural habitat that they may be used to living in.You may want to check on information about what types of habitats the fish would normally swim in,then try to get the closest types of water plants that you can find to accomidate their natural living set ups that may help out with their breathing and dying problems,as well as your own problems that you're having with the fish going belly up.If they happen to be fresh water types of fish, use something like lillypads. And if they are salt water types, then try using different types of sea kelp. You can clean them, and replace out the old plants with new plants, whenever you clean the fish tank out.Make sure to always remove all the dead or dying fish from out of the tank so not to pollute the tank with even more carbon inside of the water,as it will kill off the living fish as well, because of all the dead ones floating to the top, robbing the others of the oxygen within the water. Also try to set in some of the natural water, and sediment that they would normally find within their environment.

Your nitrate and nitrite levels are good? Make sure you're not taking out too much water, or rinsing your filter off. You sound like you know what you're doing and everything, so I'm not attacking you. But it does sound odd. Is there anything on them at all? Fungus, other parasites on the body. Fin/tail rot? I would check the ammonia level too. Recently adding fish, adding too many fish at once, too many fish for the size of the tank, too much waste product in the tank. Many things could be a factor. Check all your options.

If they're having trouble breathing and you can rule out gill problems, the cause is usually too little oxygen (in which case they'd be at the top of the water gasping for air) or there's ammonia or nitrite in the tank. If you have a test kit, try testing for these. If not, try a 25% water change.

I basically further sparkling water to my tank, the water air purifier says on it to characteristic it and permit it to cycle for one hour basically before including fish, additionally, you DO would desire to degree out the air purifier so which you do no longer positioned too plenty in. you additionally can fill the tank up and permit it to run for no less than 24 hours to do away with chlorine. i does not use your faucet water next time however and in basic terms get one fish in a tank that small. I certainly have a one inch cichlid in a 5 gallon and thats it (i'll probable get him a chum so he isnt lonely until he gets sufficiently super for our fifty 5 gallon however) purchase gallon water and nonetheless enable the tank to cycle for no less than 24 hours, additionally, commence with a hardier fish like danios or some thing, your tank isnt cycled, you're able to desire to cycle it with a hardy fish for 3-6 weeks in the previous putting in spite of you elect in there, the micro organism ranges interior the tank and clear out would desire to strengthen up and mature. the ideas all around are a million inch in step with gallon for fish the water air purifier probable replaced into no longer dissolved into the water the 1st time and have been given combat into their gills is my wager, that stuff is particularly oily feeling, think of in case you have been respiration it.
