In some areas your local politicians are to blame. There are over 40 types of regular unleaded gasoline used in this country depending on where you live. This blend here and that blend there one in this county and another in the next county across the street. This takes a lot of refinery space and storage space and makes shipping gas far more expensive. If we could just have one standard of regular unleaded gasoline we could have a big discount on the price.

we have only ourselves to blame, for being so dependent on fossil fuels, and not being proactive and insisting through votes to find alternative fuels.
