It looks like the NCAA has decided to make 3 pointers harder to make. Tell me how you think this will change college basketball.

I think it will. It spreads the offense, causing the defense to spread to cover. While 3-pointers may go down slightly, I expect the game in the paint to increase significantly.

Here's my take on this... YES I think it will change the college game, ALOT. Most of the college kids like to pull up from RIGHT BEHIND the 2 point line, but will hesitate if one of their feet is not about 2 inches from that line. It may not seem like alot to think of to you people who don't know what its like to even shoot a basketball anymore, but it's a mental thing. The college guys won't be used to it for a couple years at least because of the fact that even those guys in high school up until then had been used to this older version and have to get used to this new, and soon to be universal, 3 point line. Extending the line will do nothing but help the "shooters" in the draft. It will give scouts a better look at players 3 point shooting potential, helping the "shooters" because of the fact the the "shooters" can always pull-up from about 3 feet behind the line. If a guy can still pull-up from 3 feet behind the new line then it gives a little more defention to the "shooter".

If you can't tell... I think this is a HUGE deal.

I think moving the line will have an effect on the game, but not a huge one. A good shooter's range is much further than where the line is. I think there will be less shots taken from three-point range, and percentages will take a hit, but the good shooters won't really be effected at all.

It could be moved back perhaps, but not to NBA range. The women's college game still has the three point line where it was for the men last year, so if anything, they should move the womens' three point line back to where the mens' is. After all, women can shoot as well as the men. Then the WNBA three point line should be moved back a bit too, but not quite to NBA range perhaps so players can adjust.

Yes! it will! More NCAA players, who boast of thier 3-point shooting to NBA scouts, will have to prove themselves on a longer 3-point line. Less 3-point shots will be taken by players because they are now harder to make.

The same as the pros. The 3 point line is a fairly new concept, it started as a gimick to make the ABA more exciting.

Hopefully it will. The ncaa three point line currently is a total joke. For the love of GOD!!! 19'9" is little more than a free throw!!!! move it back to the NBA RANGE PLEASE!!!
