She's an out of control spoiled brat that needs to know she can't do anything she wants. She should be setting a good example instead of going downhill.

She should not have ben driving without a licence to begin with. But prison is a waste of time. She'll go to some luxury prison, do nothing for 45 days then come out and sell the story, like Naomi Campbell did ~ find some way to turn it to her advantage. Maybe it would be better if Paris Hilton was made to help the nurses in a motor accident ward at a hospital, or forced to organise a fundraiser for people who have lost their jobs and homes through being injured in motor accidents. That would at least force her to meet people who could have been affected by her behaviour.

all men (and women) have equal rights under the law. The law says what she did was wrong. Jail time is the sentence.

Why should the fact she is rich play any part in her following the law? She knew better......just thought being a "Hilton" gave her special privileges.

Some judges really have it in for celebrities, and believe they should be living spotless lives. And they really have it in for women! I mean, how many famous MEN have been sent to jail for insider trading? Then look at poor Martha Stewart.

OK, it's true. They shouldn't have done it. But how about making the TIME fit the CRIME??? Volunteer work would be a better use of a celebrity -- it bites into their busy schedule, AND, they might be a good influence on kids if they have to do a lecture on why driving without a license is a good idea.

If she had been drunk and driving on a suspended license, she really should have been locked up for years and years, though. However, it sounds like she was sober.

Maybe this will teach her a lesson that even if you're loaded with money , if you break the law , you'll take responsibility.

She takes everything for granted as if she's got a pass to do anything she wants. So i only think it's fair.

It's not hard to follow probation orders. She basically said 'give me give me give me' to jail sentence. They gave her chance to avoid jail time and she blew it. Even with big expensive lawyers. It only shows how negligent she is. That can be dangerous to us, the public. Someone driving around not worrying about alcohol laws or other laws.

Where's she going? The 5-Star Luxury Resort Prison or Prison-Prison.
