No. Mavs without Nowitski would be a playoff team, Lakers without Kobe are not playoff contenders

I think that is a very tough but good question. I think Dirk is more valuable to the Mavs than Kobe to the Lakers. Look at the playoff rounds of both teams. If Dirk had the games that Kobe had the Mavs would have won the series against GS. Dirk's game collapsed and the Mavs collapsed. Kobe had good numbers but they still got beat.

Ok look anyone who says Kobe is a debouch bag or an a.s.s.h.o.l.e is because there jealous, they don't know what the hell they are talking about. Without Dirk they can still win some games and manage to get to the playoffs, without Kobe lol the Lakers wouldn't even be fun to watch or in the playoffs.

Yeah i think Nowitzki is more valuable he makes his team better. Kobe is is seen as an asshole because thats how the news wants us to see him. Kobe is a amazing much better than Dirk but I still think Dirk is more valuable to the Mavs than Kobe to the Lakers.

no. without dirk the mavericks can still win games but take kobe out of the lakers...they will obvously lose a lot of games.

kobe is better in leading his team than dirk...just my opinion

Yes, but it's only by accident. Dirk doesn't really do anything to make his teammates better, but his game does (a seven footer who shoots and handles the ball like a 6'5" guard) if only he wasn't so soft. Kobe's just a pariah who destroys any good chemistry by insisting he should run the offense.

It looks like both of them will have to wait until next season to display their value. I'm actually enjoying the twists and turns of this season where hunger and teamwork is trumping money, ego, and riding the train of assumption.

I would like to see Golden State win the championship.

Yes, now we can see it.

Without Dirk they can do just nothing. Everybody blames Dirk now. But for me, coach was a looser. He was lost completely and had no impact on the game at all.

No way. This question seems to be at least partially about the MVP title. Let me explain it this way: The MVP player is ALWAYS on one of the elite teams. I'm not saying its right or wrong, actually I think it's wrong but that's the way they do it.
