how and why would an interracial marriage hurt children. if anything the child grows with a sense of acceptance for all races . i believe interracial children have the best chances to be great people and open minded to the differences in all people all over the world.

Nope, Bigotry hurts kids though. You can be the kids of an interracial relationship and be happy but it's bigots who will have the actual problem
Some people may talk about purity though or going back to the jungle and other stuff

I would listen to your friends if they are children of an interracial marriage. Otherwise, they might not be correct.

I personally don't think they do.

There are advantages and disadvantages, just like being born into any marriage.

On the minus side, kids may feel a little self-conscious about their bi-cultural/bi-racial heritage. (But if they were "pure," then they'd feel self-conscious about their height, weight, hair, skin and everything else teenagers feel self-conscious about.)

On the plus side, they get to take part in two cultural traditions. If they are the product of an international marriage, sometimes they learn two languages, and get to travel. I think they are more understanding about the differences in people. (-: And they are some of the most beautiful kids!

As long as the parents love, support and respect each other and love, support and respect their children, then ideally no marriage should hurt children.

I am from a interacial adopted family and from my experience yes it can hurt you if your family does not tell you. 35 years later I found out. But if your family is wide open about everything and loving then I should not see a prob. But in every experience it's always different!! I wish u luck!!

I would love to see the day when questions like this no longer need to be asked. Of course they don't hurt children, they enrich them. Children are pure beings where race, colour, religion mean nothing. It is the adults who teach the children what to believe in. We hurt the children with our ignorance not the colour of skin we give them.

From what I've seen, one race or the other accepts them for their own. Had a good friend that was half white/half mexican. Was always pissed that he was part white. hung out with the SA's and all. Now that I think about it, all kids that I've known that were half white bonded more with the minority race.....strange.
