What's the question. Glucose meters are used medically by people with diabetes to monitor the sugar in the blood. Strangely, dispite all the razzle-dazzle about the meters, they use a very old reaction process to work, the oxidation of iodide to elemental iodine by the sugar. The intensity of the purple-colored iodine is proportional to the amount of sugar available.
