Do you agree that equal rights carry equal responsibilities. Which means, if you are a feminist, you are expected to carry heavy things on your own, ask out men 50% of the time (if you are interested in them) and pay for dates 50% of the time.

Graymalkin, I find it interesting that you went off at a tangent and did not respond to ANY of the questions I posed. It seems like you want men to do favors, buy you stuff and pamper you all the time, otherwise they are "cheapskates"

Yes to all your questions, DICKERMAN.(Fitting name)
It strikes me as odd that you attacked Graymalkin for not answering your questions (while making VALID points) when she is around 10Th or so in order after many (perceived)male answers who did not answer, as well. Hmmm.
I would not date a man who kept so close an eye on his pennies, either, BTW.
Good luck

I'm a lesbian. I've always carried heavy things on my own, am generally the one who pursues others and believes in "going dutch" most of the time (sometimes, a night out can be a present from one person to another. My partner and I either pay for our own food when we eat out, or trade off who buys it. We also trade off with other expenses like gasoline).

I think your gender-based who-does-what-in-a-relationship rules are total and complete bullsh!t.

i've got self belief the final rule is come across your self in the previous you get married no longer after. Marriage consumes an excellent style of duty. reliable old horse experience tells us that no longer feminism. that's what our unmarried years are for to get to be attentive to ourselves to sow some oats get carry of a few reliable behavior and hone our different reliable behavior shelter the undesirable; all in the previous we grow to be responsible married human beings. "I wager if us adult males positioned our minds at the same time, we could make sure a thank you to brainwash women into thinking dogs poop tastes like chocolate basically for laughs!" I alert you in the previous proceeding verify they are liable to brainwashing or it is going to explode on your face. There are women who're *no longer*. to function on your brainwashing test - faith. this is an excellent in that area.

aiyo!!! well im not sure what a feminist is but those are things i expect women to do anyway. over and above that most women i know do it anyway. we do ask out guys we like, we do not subject them to the humiliation of having to beg with us to go out with them. we do carry our own bags, books and laptops and i personally think i've paid for more dates than my boyfriend because he's a hostler and runs on low budget a lot. i think its only fair that equal right should come with equal responsibility. if i expect the right to be able to walk with my head held high on the road, im sure its also my duty to not make the men whom i know and share my life with be borne down by my burdens...

I'm all for it. However, I don't ask men out (I have better things to do), and I believe in splitting the check at all times. Also, I'm not very strong, so if I really need help carrying something, I'll get it.

I think that equal rights do entail that both genders do what they can to the best of their ablility. Shared responsibility is a part of equal rights.

Absolutely. And I do. Though most men REALLY do not like a girl to ask them out. In my own experience, they need to pursue to the woman or it seriously turns them off. It bites, but so far it is very true.

I think women should do this but I don't consider myself a feminist

You know, the whole feminist thing really isn't for me. I do think if you are doing the exact same work, you should get paid the same.

Feminists are hypocrites, and feminism is disease, part of the liberal mental disorder.

While PRETENDING to want "equality," what they really desire are special rights, or having their cake and eating it (while keeping silent and hush about their agenda when it's strategically correct to do so).
