DO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Right click on the taskbar.
2.On the tab given,choose start menu.
3.click "CUSTOMIZE".
4.click on advanced tab.
5.a list of start menu items appears.scroll down and select run command.
6.click on OK and apply.

try to scan your HDD for virus!!

rightclick on the START button, choose properties, CUSTOMIZE, on the list is option to show RUN
