You have 3 options:
The first would be to switch over to hi-speed internet. Very soon, dial-up service will no longer be offered; it is already being phased out.
The second would be to use a software/program that allows you to resume your download, even after you get disconnected after being connected for long instances. They also increase your download speed a bit. The most popular software include "GetRight" and "Download Accelerator".
The third would be to switch over to a peer-to-peer network for downloading your videos. It's free, easy to use, and allows for resumeable downloads.

Hey, get a download accelerator. there's one called just that, that way if times out can continue later.

You can get speed enhancers such as turbo connect

Also check your settings for your modem and make sure you have the latest drivers for your modem.

also make sure you have up to date antispyware and have run scans and clear entire internet cache regularly

use a short phone cable prefereably 1-3m.

all else fails get broadband or isdn line with dialup as that can go up to around 128k
