I think this is it, I tried but not too sure.

Yes the first god for each is the Roman god and the second is the Greek, Thanks tehmpus.

Ashlee's answer seems correct; however, I'd like to point out that the first god she mentions for each is a Roman god while the second god mentioned for each planet is the Greek god. Another good thing to keep in mind that other cultures do not necessarily name the planets after gods at all. Plus, the original questioner is wrong to say that the planets are all named after gods. Obviously, Earth itself is not named after a god even if you limit the discussion to just the Greeks and Romans.

1. uranus - the greek deity of the sky
2. mars - the roman name for the god of war
3. saturn - the roman name for the titan that was the father of zeus, poseiden, and hades. like earth, it is not a god, but he was a titan, and time was his element
4. mercury - the roman name for the god of magic, travel, messenger, among other things
5. jupiter - the ruler of the gods, after leading the assault on his father along with his brothers
6. pluto - the roman name of the god of earth, and the underworld, and by extention, the keeper of the dead
7. neptune - the roman name of the god of the sea
8. venus - the roman name of the goddess of love

Then there's Uranus, Earth, and Pluto with no Gods represented by their names.

Venus

um, im not sure about the 3rd or 4th 1s....maybe they r wrong way around.....
