If you mean 3/6 and not 3/5 in the second term, then the denominator values are just increasing multiples of 3 (3, 6, 9, 12...). The numerators are the odd numbers: 1, 3, 5, 7...

So starting with n=1, the denominators can be expressed as 3n. For the numerators, notice that 2n - 1 works (2n is always going to be even, so 2n - 1 is going to be odd. Plus we want to start with "1"). Putting it all together, the nth term should be
(2n - 1) / 3n

And again, I'm making the assumption that "3/5" was a typo.

1/3 3/5 5/9 7/12

if we start at n=1

2n+1
--------------
.25 n^2 +1.85 n + .75

What level math are you?
Perhaps you have a typo?
If you are on geometric or arithmetic sequences. these are neither.

I think you have a typo or two in there.
The sequence looks more like 1/3,3/6,5/9,7/12
The nth term would be (2n-1)/3n. Just try it out.
