In Michigan it is pop. My step sisters live in Pennsylvania and it is soda. I visited another state, I can't remember which one, but they called everything a coke. They'd ask 'what kind of coke do you want?' And an answer would be 'mountain dew.' I thought that was weird.

Soda.
But I've heard Pop, Coke, seltzer, and a few other things. The more people move around, the more things spread.

When I lived in Kansas for two years, they called it 'pop.' Everywhere else (everywhere being primarily California, New York, and Texas) it's soda.
