If you want to work with the clients, you can direct activities, such as crafts or gentle exercise groups, you can talk to and keep company with the clients, help prepare and distribute lunches, etc. As well, the main office may require someone to help them with mailings, light clerical work, running errands, etc.

In our facility we have people that come in to read to the residents,play games,pass water, you go go to the activity director to see if you can help with some of the things that they do.

play scrabble, dominoes, bingo with sugar free prizes, paint their nails, puzzles, Have a sing along, read to them, play trivia, pass out crossword puzzles, have arts and crafts time. ask questions about the war, but watch out some get a bit violent about it. the elderly love to talk about bonanza.
