I mean, it's not like there's nothing more important I should be doing.......... my fiance gets home from work at 11:40 and I told him I would make him dinner and get some beer so we can have a fun night tonight. He even convinced me to make him cookies. I still need to go to the grocery store and its 10:42!!! I don't think I will be able to keep all my promises, and I need to take a shower too. And it's all because I've been fooling around on this website for like 5 hours. Is that obsessive or what?!?!?!??!?! What is it about this thing? I feel like I'm hypnotised.

Yes, I am a Yahoo addict! I used to have a life. I would only log on now and then. It took me 6 months to accumulate 10,000 points and reach Level 6 even though I get a fair number of "best answer" awards because I try to be thorough, informative and at least semi-interesting.
Then, March 17th, I reached Level 6 and became obsessed with seeing just how fast I could reach Level 7. Now my dog is ready to divorce me; my family and friends are planning an intervention; and I'm here wondering what I can do to score a few more "best answer" awards. Sad, isn't it? Because I already made it to Level 7! But I got addicted trying to get off Level 6 and now I’m hooked.
I had promised myself that I wouldn't do this after I reach my coveted goal: 25,000 points and Level 7! However, I’ve reached and surpassed that goal yet find myself logging in here and there to earn “just a few more points.” I gotta look into finding the Answers Rehab and checking myself in!
Quit now while you still can!! Some people have a monkey on their back but we've got the Yamster and he's a tenacious little rodent!

Yes there is something about this stupid site that I can't get enough of. I seriously need help. I spend hours and hours on here every day. I wake up and get on to check things out, I get on again when I get home from work for at least an hour or two. Then I usually take a break for a couple hours and get back on again until I can't stare at the computer screen for one more second.

Well I'm not that addicted but yes it is kind of addicting. If I promised my husband a fun night I would pull through though because we hardly ever get to have fun nights anymore. We have a 20 month old daughter that keeps us busy and wears us out. Shes so active. More often than not, we skip the "fun" and go straight to sleep because we're so tired.

the obsession goes away about a month after fooling around. I'm down to coming on here a couple times a day.

oh ya I know how you feel, i feel like i HAVE TOO check and see if I got a best answer like every hour and and then to vote on undecided questions is like Ok one more and i sign off.......ok just one more.....oh this looks interesting.... I'll just vote on this one and then leave.....maybe this one too.... it goes on and on etc.... The same can go with answering questions too!
