I have four keyboards sitting in front of me right now. I just looked closely at them. All of them are really, really dirty between the keys.
Good question!
Assuming that you are talking about dirt on the keys themselves, and not simply planting soil that you've spilled down into the keyboard, simply turn your computer off, take a dishtowel (make sure your wife doesn't see you). Wet it and carefully wipe down between each key.
Assuming that you are talking about actual dirt that has fallen into your keyboard, turn it upside down, shake it and take a vacuum cleaner to it.
I guess I should go get a dish rag and start cleaning my keyboards now. Thanks for reminding me.

You can buy canned air at a computer store. It will blow all the dust and crud out. If it is dried on dirt, you can use a moist (not dripping) towel to wipe off the keys. It's tedious though.

First rubbing alcohol on q tip, then can of air to blow out the rest.
If you cant get to it dont worry. It wont affect it. Still keyboards are only $8 new.

First throw it out a window and curse violently at it.
Next smash it with a sledgehammer and if you have the proper safety gear, torch it.
Go buy a new keyboard and congratulations, its clean!!!

-You can use a can of canned air - Office Max, Office Depot, any computer store or use your blow dryer set to air (not hot).
-Take a "wet wipe" - fold it lengthwise and slide it between the keys.
-get a keyboard cover.

unplug and take a vacuum to it. worst case scenario, you can pry the keys out and REALLY get to it but it's just a matter of remembering which one goes where.
