I had a friend who killed himself and we never said our good byes nor did I ever find out why he did that. I can't let go of his memory because then I feel like he will have died in vain.

I am afraid to let go of any memory, because anytime I think of one I'm like "man I remember that! that was awesome!" or I'll remember something like the way my mom cried when my bro was going to iraq for the first time and then again the second time he went back...also I don't want to forget the people I loved and shared happy moments with...like the bonfires at my friends house and the security of being in high school or middle school and knowing your parents would take care of you and you didn't have to worry about money or bills. I think all memories are pretty bittersweet because some are so great that when you look back at them you feel a little twinge in your stomach because you can't go back to them and experience them again, and bad memories are the same because when a similar situation arises, your mind is like woah don't wanna do that again. The memory I don't want to let go of though if I had to choose one would be the memory of my mom, my dad, my two bros, and me in Kentucky all sleeping in one room on two beds in a semi crappy hotel, but we were all happy and didn't care about the state of the room because we had driven all the way to Kentucky to visit my bro who was stationed there and we were just happy that we were all together again.

My kids being small and cute. Like on x-mas morning to see their cute faces with surprise when they see the presents under the tree. Priceless memories.

My time as a kid with my grandparents. I have lost both grandpas, and I know my grandmas won't be here forever. My time with them is special to me. I feel grateful to have known all my grandparents, not everyone can say that.
