1 What is the function of the /etc/crontab file in Linux?

-to schedule system jobs
- to schedule user jobs
-to validate created processes
-to remove cron jobs



Im thinking this:
-to schedule system jobs

You're right, it is for system jobs.

You may be thinking it could be to schedule user jobs, but if you look at the format of the file, there is no place for a user, or uid.
