My sister and her husband are going to start IVF in the coming weeks. She told me that their are some horrible side-effects.
If you have had this treatment can you please tell me about your experience and how successful it was. Thanks

In Vetro Fertilization... horrible side effects? I'm sorry, but I'm carrying twins for a couple that did IVF and I've got no idea what these "horrible side effects" are for them. All of this is on my shoulders, not theirs. Please, message me - I'd like to know what's up and if there's anything I can do to ease anyone's fears.

OK, well I'm still not sure what the horrible side effects are, other than pregnancy and all the related things that come with a pregnancy. If you could post what they might be, that might help. My experience so far has been "normal" but I'm not going to say that it's been a breeze. I had 3 4 day-old "babies" put into my uterus, only 2 survived. If all 3 had survived, there was a possibility for 1 or 2 being taken out - or not - it depended on if they were all healthy, not hurting one another and it was safe for me to carry. Carrying twins isn't easy: everything hurts more, happens sooner, there's more potential for complications, etc... but that's all with a typical twin pregnancy, not because of IVF. All-in-all, it's been just a whole lot of pregnant... lots of typical stuff. Again, I'm not sure what kind of side effects she's talking about, it's not like this is going to increase the baby's likelihood for growing a 3rd arm, or being able to read minds, or have greater odds of having a typical complication like Downs Syndrome or Autism.
