You will be thankful for it when you start having sex. Discharge is your bodies own way of producing lubrication for sexual relations.

If you ever have a dry vagina, you will know why your vagina keeps moist... dryness is *itchy* and *painful*. Discharge helps your body get rid of unpleasant bacteria and fungi, and keeps you healthy.
Don't feel embarassed. It's typically at its heaviest when you are a teen, and will decline later. Seriously, *nobody* else has any idea of your vaginal discharge levels. You can buy pantiliners in the tampon aisle at the store... the mere fact that these things are available indicates that you are far from the only one to have discharge.

Are you talking about the 3 - 4 day mucus discharge about half way through the cycle? Perfectly normal. That's just your body's way of letting you know that you are ovulating. If you have sex around that time you could become pregnant. A panti-liner will be enough cover for that time.
The mucus is there to make it easier for the sperm to travel where it has to to conceive.

A little moisture in the vaginal area is normal. If you are having a dark discharge or chalky white, you have an infection and need treatment. Maybe you can explain the discharge better,,,we're all women here.

Glands inside your vagina and cervix make small amounts of fluid. This fluid flows out of the vagina each day, carrying out old cells that have lined the vagina. This is your body's way of keeping your vagina healthy and clean. The discharge is usually clear or milky and doesn't smell bad.
The color and thickness of the discharge change with your monthly cycle. The discharge is thicker when you ovulate (when one of your ovaries releases an egg), when you breastfeed or when you're sexually excited.

Its a natural way of getting bacteria out. Would you rather have yeast infections? Cause personally i would rather deal with discharge then a yeast infection anyday!

Discharge is usually from an infection, yeast or otherwise. If you make sure the guy wears a condom you will never have this problem. Also, less unwanted pregnancies. If he's the kind of guy to make a good boyfriend, he's the kind of guy who won't mind wearing a condom. Good luck.
