Why do you find this unusual. What would you do if your home was just flooded or blown away. It is called survival.

I have never heard of wolves being displaced by a flood and I don't really see why it would displace them. Maybe they were attracted by dying or sick animals and the dogs became territorial and the wolves just ate what they could find. They might have just found some new territory. Interesting story.

there is almost no record of wolves ever attacking people ,

you should go on television with that
