...last word had it, David S. Goyer ("Blade: Trinity") was slated to direct the film, with Ryan Reynolds donning the red tights.
.. there's also word that another incarnation of "The Flash", whether feature film or television, was planned, but this version was going to be an out & out re-imagining of the superhero franchise, and being very loosely based on the comic book.
...no one's really talking absolutes, at this stage in the game!!
The best I could possibly find, as far as a reference, is the attached webpage interview with Reynolds...I guess, the rest is up to Warner Bros.
...personally, I would very much like to see this happen (hey, Warner Bros., listen up!!!).

There was a whole TV series back in the early 90's called the Flash, about a retired cop w/ super quickness.
Green Lantern... eh probably not that impressive.
Probably some of the newer heroes like Lobo, Green Hornet (w/ Jackie Chan or Jet Li as Kato), or another Spawn sequel.
I'd say more characters will come from Marvel comics, like Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and the Avengers, Iron Man, Dr. Strange, Cable, Submariner...

I dont think that they will make a movie about The Flash...its actually a really good idea, but many people dont know the superhero. Most people basically know the three heroes Spiderman, Superman, and Batman, and these directors just keep making movies about them. There are like 4 or 5 Batman movies already. I dont think Green Lantern will get a movie either. =[ but these are great ideas, you should write a script and finding a director to direct it. Its worth the attempt.

Spider-guy, Spider-man2,Spider-man3 for the straightforward shown reality that i take advantage of to computer screen the comic strip even as i develop right into a baby and they fairly stuck to the mini series (it really is uncommon) also The Hulk develop right into a really solid comic depending action picture, it saved to the mini series and the tale for the action picture had a great twist :D

There is a movie starring The Flash. "The Flash II: Return of the Trickster" I had to look it up because I couldn't remember the name of it but my brother also has this movie. Came out in 1991 and went straight to movie.
