I'm going to try to be honest here. I think that I would take it home, hold it for awhile, and then take it to the police station. I know that's not what I would want to do but I am an honest person.

I would turn it in to the police station for a number of reasons and the most abvious. It is the right thing to do. There is no telling where that money came from or how it got there. If it was illegal them maybe there are some finger prints or other eveidence available. If it is truly lost and no one claims it in so may days I get to keep the money. At least I know I have clean hand in the whole ardeal.

Well, $50,000 in a paper bag? I can pretty much rule out that it came from an honest person. Paper bags aren't the container of choice for that kind of cash. So, what would I do with $50,000 from a disreputable source that would never know that I have their money? Hmmmm If I gave it to the authorities they would send a car to look around the area and probably find nothing so that would mean they get to party and not me. Nope: I'm afraid I wouldn't be such a stand up guy here. I would say thanks and pay bills!

If there was a way to return it to the correct person, I would. In fact, I did find a bank bag in the middle of the road once and returned it with all money intact. However, I did have a moment of "what if". I just decided that the real measure of a person is what they do when no one is looking.

Might be bad but right now I would keep it cause I am going through some hard times right now. I know I should turn it in but If you have ever had a rough time in ur life then you would know where I am coming from. I would just take it as a gift from God.

Turn it into the police because for one it is the right thing to do. Number two if you lost 50 grand then you would want someone else to turn it in. Number three, you will feel better when you turn it into the police because you won't have to worry about if you get caught.

When my 2 children were about 6 and 8, we found a $20 bill in the middle of the street. that was about 22 years ago. We decided it wasn't ours to keep but couldn't find the owner, but God could, so we put it in the offering plate and my kids still talk about that today and what a huge impact it had one them and their now grown up decisions, If it were yours, wouldn't you want it back ?

Considering that amount, it would have had to come from some drug deal. Apparently, the drug dealer was a dumba$$ and dropped it. So, I'd take it home. No one else in their right mind would have that kind of money at their disposal and carry it around in a paper bag.

try to find the owner since buying a binch of stuff with the money would attract too much attention, plus the people you gave it back to would surely give you SOMEthing and you would be guilt-free about that -- i'd post it on craigslist or just drop by the cop-shop
