I don't use those ties any longer. I twist the plastic bag the bread is in{at the top} then I pull the plastic back over/ around the plastic already covering the bread. It is easier to get to the bread and the twisting of the bag keeps the bread fresh.

Is there a pun in there somewhere? When I buy bread, the first thing I do is take the pesky little twisty off and replace it with a clothes pin. It works great.

Lol, excellant question~ It usually takes me about a minute to get the thing untied, and by then I just wanna eat my damn sandwich & can't be bothered w/trying to retie it, so I just throw it for the cat to play with & tie a knot in the bag.

I hate those twisty ties ... I always seem to twist them the wrong way and then by the time I figure that out, it's even harder to open than it would've been before ...
AND ALL I WANTED WAS SOME BREAD ... !!!!!

Pssh. The twisty ties are nothing. What I really hate are those stupid plastic tabs. Give me a twisty tie over those, any day.

Only on the initial opening. I am one of those people that will just twist the bread bag around the lay it under the bread so it doesnt open LOL.

I take em off, fold the plastic under, then use the ties to tie the end of my braids of hair, they work better than elastic and dont break my hair, lol. I hate them on bags too.

Yes, I just end up tying a knot in the bag. It's easier.
