Are you sure that you weren't supposed to put it in along with salt in the shakers?? Down South, with the humidity, dry rice keeps the salt from clumping and keeps it free flowing. It may work for popcorn, but, first you would have to put it in a small brown PAPER sack, it would keep the corn kernals dry. Other than that, you are better off, tossing that mess out, and start over from scratch. Put the new popcorn in an AIRTIGHT jar, and it will stay for a long, long, time.
