The sky's the limit on what you can do within your budget because all you really need is a business license and Tax ID to get started.You may want to sell products on Ebay and spending $20 at a yard sale could turn into $40 and that $40 could turn into $80, etc. You might want a consulting business to teach skills you have for some extra cash. Maybe you have the next great American novel in your mind that only needs time to come out and be written. Make sure that you get legal in whatever business venture you choose so you make the most from your ability to deduct expenses off taxes. In time you will want to consider hiring an accountant and don't forget about getting business insurance down the line. Start off reading as much as you can about business... start up, taxes, advertising, and be the best you can be no matter what product or service you choose to provide. Make sure there's a market for your idea and fill that market. Once you have more concrete ideas, get a business plan. Your library will have lots of practical advice for you.
