I just downloaded about 44 billy joel songs and put them in itunes, then my ipod, now they wont show up on my ipod...
and neither will the collective soul songs i put on there about a week ago.
Any help?

There's a good chance that Itunes synced your Ipod to the wrong playlist. It likes to do that, which is the main reason why you really shouldn't use it to manage your ipod. There are several free programs available which don't erase songs without your permission; my favorite is yamipod.

This happened to my cousin. Try re-attaching your iPod to the computer and if it doesn't automatically start to download the songs onto it then right click it and them in the little menu that pops up click download to iPod (or something of that means). That should work.
